The end of AIM is nigh
The Internets have been buzzing after news that AOL has cut support, resources and humans from the AIM. This is a sad day for those old enough ( former AOL employees like myself) to remember when AIM was the bull of the woods in instant messengers. In fact, for many members AOL, AIM was the reason that they signed up for the service. It is funny how things become full circle. For people nowadays, Facebook in essence is the Internet or at least there toe dip into it. It is where the go to get their news, weather, interface with other humans, etc. in the exact same way that AOL filled that same roll. Nothing new under the Sun, I guess.
